Customer & Organization Importer for Jira Service Management
Privacy policy
In short: the app runs on Atlassian's platform, inside Jira, in your browser. It has no servers of ours and stores nothing of its own. The CSV file you choose is read in your browser and its rows are sent only to your own Jira site. We never receive your file, your customers or any other Jira data.
1. Who we are
Customer & Organization Importer for Jira Service Management ("the app") is provided by PPFTEC S.R.L., a company registered in Romania, with its registered office at Str. Patriarh Iustinian Marina nr. 17-19B, bl. DC12, mansardă, ap. 25, Râmnicu Vâlcea, jud. Vâlcea, 240469, Romania, Trade Register no. J2026052999008, fiscal code (CUI) 55537142 ("we", "us").
Contact for privacy questions: support@ppftec.com.
2. What the app does
The app adds a page in Jira settings where a Jira administrator can create Jira Service Management customers and organizations from a CSV file, add customers to organizations, give them access to service projects, and export organizations, members and project access to a CSV file.
3. How the app handles data
The app is built on Atlassian Forge and runs entirely on Atlassian's platform:
- No servers of ours. The app has no backend. Its user interface is served by Atlassian and runs in your browser, inside Jira.
- Your file stays with you. The CSV file is read by your browser. Its rows are sent only to your Jira site, through the Jira Service Management REST API, as you, using Atlassian's Forge bridge. The file is not uploaded anywhere else and is not kept by the app.
- Nothing stored by the app. The customers, organizations, memberships and project links the app creates are ordinary Jira Service Management data, stored by Atlassian in your site. The app uses no Forge storage, no database and no browser storage of its own.
- Reports and exports. The import report and the export are generated in your browser and saved to your computer when you choose to download them. We never receive them.
- No third parties. The app does not send data to any external service. It uses no analytics, no advertising, no tracking pixels and no cookies.
4. Personal data you import or export
Customer lists contain personal data: e-mail addresses and names, and the organizations people belong to. When you import or export them with the app, your organisation decides what to import and why, and is responsible for having a lawful basis for it. The data is processed by Atlassian as part of Jira Service Management and by your browser. Because the app has no backend and stores nothing outside Jira, PPFTEC S.R.L. does not collect this data and has no access to it.
Jira may send customers e-mails (for example an invitation) according to your service project's settings. Those e-mails are sent by Atlassian, not by the app. Atlassian's handling of your data is described in Atlassian's privacy policy.
Downloaded reports and exports contain personal data. Store and delete them according to your organisation's policies.
5. Data we may receive from Atlassian
As a Marketplace partner, we may receive account and licensing information from Atlassian, for example the site URL, licence status and billing or technical contact details, to manage licences and provide support. We use it only for licensing, billing and support.
6. Support requests
If you contact us for support, we receive what you send us, for example your name, e-mail address and message. We use it only to answer you, and we keep it for 24 months after the request is closed. Please do not send customer lists or reports with personal data unless we ask for a sample needed to reproduce a problem.
7. Data location and retention
The app keeps no data. Customers and organizations created with it are stored in your Jira site under Atlassian's data residency settings and remain there after the app is uninstalled, like any other Jira Service Management customers and organizations.
8. Security
The app has the permissions manage:servicedesk-customer, read:servicedesk-request and read:jira-user. It can only do what the signed-in administrator is already allowed to do in Jira. Files generated by the app protect against spreadsheet formula injection. Please report security issues to support@ppftec.com (see also security.txt and Security).
9. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection for any personal data we hold about you (in practice, support correspondence). Contact us at support@ppftec.com. You may also complain to the Romanian data protection authority, ANSPDCP, or to your local data protection authority. For customer data in your Jira site, contact your Jira administrator or Atlassian.
10. This website
This website (ppftec.com) is a static site. It sets no cookies, runs no scripts and uses no analytics or third-party services. It is hosted on Cloudflare; to deliver the pages and protect the site, Cloudflare processes technical connection data such as IP addresses.
11. Changes to this policy
If the app's data handling changes, for example if a future version stores data outside Jira, we will update this policy before releasing that version and change the "Last updated" date.
